Opinion

There is no reason to allow poetry at public venues. Read the piece below and see why.

From the other side

Empty thoughts

In broken brains

Hollow noises

In empty drains

Sounds of laughter

Still of the night

Flickering lanterns

Bowed in fright.

Leaping frogs

Splash virgin ponds

A drop of whisky

A nameless song.

Halting letters

Queued up to speak

Untold stories

Down a one way street.

The cruel heat

That seeks to kill

A sparrow's footprint

On my windowsill.

Unknown ghosts

Fight bloody wars

For bashful eunuchs

And broken Czars.

Orange jackets

On swirling waves

Singing earphones

From dead men's graves.

Orange flowers

Yellow starts

Confused words

From broken hearts.

Melting ice creams

To be had

With traffic jams

In a world gone mad.
